In the very heart of the city
Hotel Continental stands in the centre of Oslo, in walking distance from a number of attractions, such as Aker Brygge, Tjuvholmen, the Royal Palace, the National Theatre and the Storting (parliament) building.
Oslo Airport (OSL) is located at Gardermoen about 50 kilometres north of the city, and several alternative means of transport are available for reaching Hotel Continental.
- The Airport Express train (Flytoget) runs between Oslo Airport and Oslo Central Station six times an hour. Every other service continues to Nationaltheateret station, a 27-minute journey. This station is only 100 metres from the hotel. The fare from the airport to Nationaltheateret station is NOK 230*. - In cooperation with Oslo Limousinservice we offer private transport and personal service. Experienced and discrete chauffeurs with good language skills will collect you at Oslo Airport Gardermoen and drive you directly to the hotel. Directions from Oslo Airport by car
Take the E6 highway towards Oslo for about 40 minutes. Drive through the Vålerenga and Ekeberg tunnels. Continue until you enter the Opera tunnel, then take the exit to Oslo Sentrum Vest from inside the tunnel. On exiting the tunnel, take the first right into Dronning Mauds gate. Turn left at the roundabout and drive up Haakon VIIs gate, then take the second right at the traffic lights up Munkedamsveien. Turn right again at the next roundabout into Stortingsgaten. Follow this street for about 100 metres, and you will see Hotel Continental on your right.
Sandefjord Airport Torp
The Torp Expressen bus service departs from Sandefjord Airport Torp about 30 minutes after every Ryanair, Wizz Air and most Norwegian arrivals. Terminating at the Oslo Bus Terminal, the journey takes roughly one hour and 45 minutes. Click here for more information.
Directions from Sweden by car
Take the E6 highway towards Oslo. About an hour after crossing the border between Sweden and Norway at Svinesund, you will reach the Nordby tunnel. Exiting the tunnel, you will see the Tusenfryd amusement park on your left. Stay on the E6 highway towards Oslo.
After 15 minutes, exit right towards Ryen. At the roundabout, take the second exit into the Svartdals tunnel. Keep left and follow the signs to “Sentrum V”. Entering the Opera tunnel, take the exit on the right towards Oslo “Sentrum V”.
Take the first right into Dronning Mauds gate. Turn left at the roundabout and drive up Haakon VIIs gate, then take the second right at the traffic lights up Munkedamsveien. Turn right at the next roundabout into Stortingsgaten. Follow this street for about 100 metres, and you will see Hotel Continental on your right.
If you arrive in your own car, you may park in our garage by prior arrangement. We are also close to several 24-hour car parks.
