Do you have questions about your stay at Hotel Continental? Here, we have compiled answers to the most frequently asked questions about booking, rooms, facilities, breakfast, and everything else to make your stay more comfortable.

General Questions

Where is Hotel Continental located? Hotel Continental is centrally located in Oslo (Stortingsgata 24/26, 0117 Oslo), just a few minutes’ walk from main attractions, shopping, and public transportation.

What are the check-in and check-out times? Standard check-in is from 3:00 PM, and check-out is by 12:00 PM. If you arrive earlier or later, please let us know in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate a smooth check-in or check-out.

Do you offer parking, and is there a cost? We have 10 parking spaces available at the CareCenter garage in our basement. CareCenter offers interior and exterior car washing and polishing, and can prepare your car during your stay. Please note that parking and car services must be booked at least 24 hours in advance, and availability is limited. Book early – this service is popular among our guests. Hotel Continental offers the following rooms and suites:

  • Abel Suite – combines classic and modern design, with views of Aker Brygge.
  • Royal Suite – elegant suite overlooking Slottsparken.
  • Boman Suite – modern and stylish corner suite.
  • Junior Suites – elegant and comfortable suites.
  • Junior Suites with Balcony – extra space with a private balcony facing Nationaltheatret.
  • Deluxe Room – comfort and luxury.
  • Superior Room – high standard and style.
  • Standard Double – cozy for two.
  • Petite Double - compact, elegant and comfortable.
  • Standard Single – perfect for one guest.

Are the rooms equipped with air conditioning? Yes, all rooms have air conditioning for a comfortable stay. The temperature can be adjusted individually in each room by +/- 3 degrees.

Can beds in some rooms be converted into two single beds? Yes, some rooms can be arranged with either a king-size bed or two single beds. Please specify your preference when booking, and we will ensure the room is prepared accordingly.

Do you provide baby cots / cribs? Yes, we offer baby cots upon request. Please contact us before your stay at +47 22 82 40 40 or booking@hotelcontinental.no.

Does the hotel have a fitness room? Yes, our Fitness Studio is equipped with TechnoGym machines and is open 24 hours for all staying guests.

Do you offer room service, and when is it available? Yes, room service is available 24 hours a day. Menus include:

  • Breakfast: Weekdays 06:45–10:00, Weekends/Public Holidays 07:15–11:00
  • Day Menu: Mon–Sat 12:00–22:00, Sun/Public Holidays 12:00–21:00
  • Dinner: Mon–Sat 16:00–22:00, Sun/Public Holidays 16:00–21:00
  • Late Night: Weekdays 22:00–06:00, Weekends/Public Holidays 22:00–07:00
    A delivery fee of NOK 50 applies.

Food and Beverage

Is breakfast included in the stay? Yes, breakfast is included at Hotel Continental. You can order from our tempting á la carte breakfast menu or choose from our breakfast buffet.

I need to leave early and won’t make it to breakfast. We offer an express breakfast on weekdays and upon request the evening before on weekends. Please contact us at +47 22 82 40 40 or booking@hotelcontinental.no.

Does the hotel have a restaurant or bar? Yes, Hotel Continental offers several dining and drinking experiences:

Location and Transportation

How do I get to Oslo Airport? Oslo Airport (OSL) at Gardermoen is about 50 km north of Oslo, with several transport options from the city center and Hotel Continental:

  • Flytoget Airport Express Train: To Oslo S and Nationaltheatret (100 m from the hotel)
  • Taxi: About 50 minutes, from NOK 800
  • Private transport: Oslo Limousine Service can be arranged via Concierge

How close is the hotel to public transport and attractions? The hotel is centrally located at Nationaltheatret, near trams, buses, trains, and attractions such as The Royal Palace, Aker Brygge, and Karl Johans gate.
